Dosage:
Each tablet contains Paracetamol 500 mg and Domperidone 10 mg. Dosage and duration should be determined by a healthcare professional according to the patient’s age, symptoms, medical history, and local product guidance. Do not exceed the recommended Paracetamol dose or combine with other Paracetamol-containing products. Domperidone should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration, generally no longer than one week unless a clinician advises otherwise.
Contraindications:
Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to either ingredient, significant liver disease where Paracetamol is unsuitable, gastrointestinal bleeding or obstruction, or conditions in which stimulating gastrointestinal movement may be harmful. Domperidone is contraindicated in patients with certain heart rhythm disorders or significant QT prolongation.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include dry mouth, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, and headache. Paracetamol overdose can cause severe liver damage. Domperidone may increase the risk of serious heart rhythm disturbances, particularly in susceptible patients or when interacting medicines are used.
Usage in Pregnancy:
Use during pregnancy only when recommended by a qualified healthcare professional after assessing the benefits and risks. Domperidone is not routinely recommended during pregnancy.
Interactions:
- Other Paracetamol-containing medicines may increase the risk of liver toxicity.
- Domperidone may interact with medicines that prolong the QT interval or inhibit CYP3A4, including certain macrolide antibiotics and azole antifungals.
- Avoid combining Domperidone with potent interacting medicines unless specifically reviewed by a healthcare professional.
Precautions:
Use cautiously in patients with liver disease, electrolyte disturbances, heart conditions, or those taking medicines that affect heart rhythm. Seek urgent medical attention for fainting, palpitations, severe allergic reactions, or suspected overdose.
Administration:
Take according to the prescribed instructions. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.
